Freelance Senior SAP Project Manager – Leuven, Belgium (Hybrid)

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior SAP Project Manager to support a major SAP transformation programme with a large organisation in Belgium. The organisation is undertaking a significant modernisation of its SAP environment, involving S/4HANA, cloud technologies and the continued development of its wider SAP landscape.
This is a business-facing position requiring someone capable of taking ownership of complex SAP projects from initial planning through to implementation and post-go-live.
The Role
As Senior SAP Project Manager, you will coordinate SAP project delivery across business, functional and technical teams.
Key responsibilities will include:

Lead complex SAP implementation, migration and transformation projects

Manage projects across the full delivery lifecycle

Define and manage project scope, milestones, resources and deliverables

Develop and maintain project plans, budgets and delivery schedules

Coordinate functional, technical, data and business workstreams

Manage dependencies across different SAP teams and project areas
-
Lead project governance and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders
-
Facilitate steering committees and project status meetings
-
Identify project risks, issues and dependencies and ensure appropriate actions are taken

Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with operational requirements

Coordinate testing, cutover, deployment and go-live activities
-
Support change management and business adoption

Manage internal teams, external partners and other project stakeholders

Support post-go-live stabilisation and continuous improvement
Your Experience
We are looking for consultants with:
-
4+ years’ experience managing SAP projects and programmes
-
Strong experience delivering large-scale SAP implementations or transformations
-
Previous experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC
-
Experience managing projects across multiple SAP workstreams
-
Strong understanding of the full SAP project lifecycle

Experience managing project scope, budgets, resources, risks and timelines
-
Strong stakeholder-management experience at senior and executive level
-
Strong understanding of SAP implementation methodologies
-
Experience working within complex enterprise environments
-
Professional English is required. Dutch or French would be advantageous but is not essential.
