SAP ABAP Developer

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a team delivering innovative SAP logistics solutions. You will work within a growing SAP EWM development team, implementing complex warehouse and logistics requirements on the SAP platform.

The role involves developing solutions that support both automated and manual warehouse processes, helping optimise supply chain operations and business workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software using ABAP/OO for SAP EWM/MFS projects and ABAP/4 for SAP WM projects

• Support commissioning and system go-live activities, including occasional domestic and international travel

• Perform performance testing and analyse system performance

• Participate in project delivery, system integration, and testing activities

• Produce technical documentation, developer test results, technical specifications, and training materials

• Design and develop software in line with established development standards and best practices

• Support the integration of complex software components into warehouse management solutions

• Perform software testing and defect resolution

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of SAP developments and custom extensions

• Estimate development effort for new features and enhancements

• Promote cost-effective, high-quality technical solutions

Technology Stack

• SAP ECC (including EWM) with ABAP

• SAP S/4HANA

• XML, HTML5, JSON

• SOAP and REST services

• JavaScript

• Version control using ABAPGit and GitLab

• Development tools including Eclipse, VS Code and SAP Development Studio

• Jira and Confluence

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of ABAP OO and ABAP/4

• Experience with SAP technologies including tRFC, qRFC, bgRFC, OData and ABAP Web Services

• Knowledge of SAP enhancement techniques, including BAdIs, User Exits, enhancements and modifications

• Experience or interest in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)

• Knowledge of warehouse management systems or logistics processes is advantageous

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline

• Fluent English

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset

• Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 20%)
