Discover are hiring for a global organisation who are at the early stages of transforming into a modernised IT environment, including the implementation of AI solutions internally.

As part of the infrastructure team, you play a key role in optimising internal operations through smart and secure use of technology. You are responsible for shaping, implementing, and maintaining the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including systems, networks, and security controls.

In this position, you are a trusted partner to the business, known for delivering clear, effective, and timely solutions across technical, functional, and security-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure architectures, applying a security-by-design mindset throughout.
• Leverage automation and orchestration tools to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and improve system reliability.
• Support ongoing digital transformation initiatives while ensuring strong governance around security, identity management, and compliance.
• Implement and maintain measures to protect systems and data against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to embed security into end-to-end delivery processes.
• Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Take ownership of infrastructure and security projects, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and scope.

Your Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role (System, Infrastructure, or Security Engineering).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset.
• Detail-oriented, hands-on, and accountable.
• Able to balance operational efficiency with risk awareness.
• Fluent in French or Dutch; English is considered a plus.

Technical Experience:

• Server operating systems including Windows and Linux (AIX is a plus but not essential).
• Networking fundamentals including routing, VLANs, switching, firewalls, and core network services.
• Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID / Azure AD, Intune, and Exchange Online.
• SQL databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
• Cybersecurity tooling and practices including SIEM, EDR, endpoint security, monitoring, security scanning, remediation, identity management, privileged access control, and network segmentation.
• Exposure to ISO 27001, NIS2, or similar compliance frameworks would be advantageous.
